John spent 30 years at Boeing working as an electrical engineer. Following his retirement he went on to earn a Ph.D. in leadership and organization. For years John has been active in Donauschwaben activities. He has written and facilitated the publication of eight books relating to the ethnic history of the Donauschwaben.
This past spring John was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Leadership from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.
